This morning I had a message in my inbox from my friend Shannon back in Canada.  She was looking for inspiration for a Christmas card using the Inspired by Nature Grass image.  She’s got to mass-produce 100 cards so asked me to help her think of something.  I went for a simple card, given the fact that it has to be mass-produced.  I used the grass image on the side, to look like long pine needles, then hung the ornaments off of them.  (Please ignore the little ink smudge, it was a stamping “oops” and I was heading out the door to get the kids from school…:)

I’m back to a technique trio this week.  This was one of the techniques I did with my stamp club in October.  It’s a simple, but effective technique, and even my hubby liked these cards.  He doesn’t often comment on my creations, but when he saw these on my desk, waiting to be photographed, he commented on how he liked the simplicity of them.  What do you think?

Last weekend was Halloween, and as you know, we had a whopper of a Family party!  It was our housewarming party for our new home as well as a typical Halloween bash.  Lots of candy, activities and games for the kids, and of course spooky food!  Here are a few photo highlights from the evening.

I saw this tutorial on Splitcoast here the other day.  I must admit it was a bit tricky to work out how to do it, but I managed.  I love how it came out too!  I don’t have any white Staz On, so I used versamark and white embossing powder instead.  Worked great!  (Just be careful not to heat the acetate too much or it will melt).  Once again, I made two to add to my stash….

Here is a quick card I made the other day to add to my Christmas card stash.  Since I have such a large Christmas Card list, I started very early this year, and make duplicates of all my cards.  This is my plan for this year at least, as I really got sick of the same card, mass produced the past few years.  So far I have about 60-70 cards in my basket, and 100 is my target.  I’m getting there!

I found this tutorial in Splitcoast today here.  It was quick and easy to make, except for the fact that my 4 year old was “helping” me.  I am STILL loving these Ski Slope papers as much as the first time I saw them.  I’m sure I’ve gone through 5 packs of them in 3 months….unfortunately, they are only available until the end of November.  If you need to get some before they are gone, just let me know!
