This is a layout of my other beautiful child, she’s also got gorgeous eyes (but them I’m a little biased, they are just like mine!).  Another photo that has been sitting on my desk for months, and now it’s finally done.  I love these simply scrappin kits, had to get me one of each.  The layouts just come together so easily!

I’m enjoying this “break” I’m taking to get back into scrapbooking.  I’ve had some photos lying on my desk for literally MONTHS, waiting to go onto a layout.  This was one of the photos I was looking at each day.  My boy he has the most beautiful blue eyes…..doesn’t he?  I used the Love Sparkles kit for this one again as well as the Sweet Nothings kit for some of the extras.  Since pink was not a real BOY colour, I coloured in the letters with a Real Red marker before pulling them off the backing sheet.  Worked a treat!

Well, I couldn’t go on teasing you with retired products without showing you a current one that you can get your hands on right now!  This one is made using the Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin Kit.  This photo was taken of my daughter and my Niece when we went back home to Canada.  They are only 10 days apart and are as close as can be.  We were lucky enough to be there for my Niece’s 7th birthday party, so we got the girls matching outfits, like they used to have when they were little girls.

Here is yet another page done with a retired Simply Scrappin Kit.  The name of this kit is Out and About.  I love Earthy colours, and it was the perfect colours for this photo of my kids holding a Koala for the first time last February in Kuranda, Queensland

I love during the holidays when I can get back to my first love, the craft that brought me into the papercrafting world to begin with, Scrapbooking!  Time is tight for me, like any other Mum, so I often turn to the Simply Scrappin Kits for a quick layout.  Here I’ve used on that’s retired, but you can still see how everything co-ordinates with each other.  This kit is called Party Pieces, and it’s from a couple years ago.  I was lucky enough to get my hands on this one as a door prize at an event where Stampin Up had donated some retired product for prizes.

I actually did 3 pages today, but I’m going to share them over three days so I can keep you coming back….also because I know I won’t get any scrapbooking done tomorrow…a trip to IKEA is in the plan (yes, AGAIN!).

Well, I think it’s the final one at least.  Hubby keeps asking me “did you make a card for….”.  This is the last card I have left on hand, so if I think of any more people, I’ll have to make some more.  I really am Well and Truly tired of making Christmas cards though….Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas, but I’m ready to move on after making  115 Christmas Cards this year.  Next year we REALLLY have to trim that list down….or get hubby to help! (ROTFLOL!)

I went for Non-traditional colours on this one with Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose and Tempting Turquoise.  I pulled out an old favourite too, Baroque Motifs.

I got stuck into some spring cleaning today, and hope to continue that tomorrow, so I’m not sure if I’m going to get my scrapbook page done and posted, but I’m hopeful that I can do it all!  Check back in a day or two and I should have something to show you.

I had an order to make some birthday invitations for a 10 year old boy this week.  The mum had a few ideas, wanting the Surfboard, ocean and sand, but the design was in my hands.  This was what I came up with.  I’m hoping he likes them!  I’m also making a Fantasy Box with matching card for her to give his gift in, but that will be coming in another post, another day….

I love it when I’m going through my month’s worth of photos to sort them into their proper files.  I love looking back to see what I’ve done over the course of the month, what colours I’ve favoured, which stamp sets are used most, etc.  I especially love it when I come across some photos of a project that I have not posted!  This one was in the file marked November 5th, so they have been done for awhile.  I gave them to two of my good friends here.  They are just cheap calendars/diaries to carry in their purse, got them at the local dollar shop, and prettied them up a bit.  About a 10 minute project, but they were happy to get a random gift for no reason!
