I’ve joined forces once again with the ESAD group of demonstrators to bring you a 23-person blog hop to inspire you with all our creations. What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for “Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators” and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin Up demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

Easy Events Thank You card

This was one of the cards that I designed for my water colouring workshop last weekend. Again, I used the Easy Events stamp set due to it’s versatility. I LOVE this little garden of flowers! I stamped it twice in Staz On ink on Watercolour Paper and used my aqua painter to colour them in with Calypso Coral and Wisteria Wonder ink pads, the stems are done with Lucky Limeade. I’ve used the Berry Blossoms DSP punched with the square punches to make the border down the side.

The flower centres were blinged up a bit with the tiny basic pearls.

Easy Events Baby Card

I was working on designing some cards for a workshop last weekend and the hostess wanted to learn the water colouring technique. I chose the Easy Events stamp set since it’s got so much versatility. I made the two workshop projects (will be coming later this week) and then I wanted to make a card with this cute little rubber ducky. I don’t have a baby in mind to give this to yet, but I just think this ducky is so cute!

I’ve used the Nursery Nest DSP and the Quick Accents pack that goes with it for the frame around the ducky and the betters too. So quick and easy!

Burning Love Inspiration

A couple weeks ago, there was an inspiration challenge posted on ESAD, one of the demonstrator groups that I belong to. The inspiration was this image:

I knew immediately that I wanted to pull out my brayer and sponges and try to duplicate the burning-looking background, but also wanted to silhouette a heart on it. This is what I came up with:

I used so many colours on here that I can even recall how they were layered…So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, More Mustard, Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, Basic Black and more! Thanks to my friend Tracey Eaton for this great inspiration piece!

A Halloween Layout

I’ve been scrapbooking again! This time I’ve chosen some photos form our Halloween party back in November. We dressed as the Flintstones and we had a spooky good time! I’ve used the Frightful Sight DSP and the “spider webs” are created with the doilies in the Flirtatious DSP. They are sponged with black then spritzed with platinum shimmer mist and Vanilla Smoock. They are really sparkly in real life!

The letters are cut with the Big Shot in Cajun Craze and coated with Crystal Effects.

Beyond the Garden Revisited

Okay, so maybe THIS card is not so bad compared to the last one I made with this DSP. In fact, I quite LIKE this card, as the DSP strip is small print, and lighter in colour. This card was inspired by ANOTHER card I saw on Pinterest.

I’ve used the Fun flowers die and the Doily punch in the centre to layer up this flower. I’ve sponged the edges with Whisper White ink and added some bling to the centre. The background is embossed with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder.

Fabric Tuesday #2

Back again with another fabric creation! My hubby was complaining about water stains being left on his desk at work, so I made him a Mug Rug. I found the tutorial online here. The problem is, it’s gigantic! It fits not only his mug, but also a whole plate of cookies, which nobody needs after the holidays! Either way, he’s got it on his desk now, crooked stitching and all. Oh, not to anyone who tries to make this, do NOT iron this ribbon. It melts instantly. You think I’d learn….SIGH….

Rainbows Scrapbook Page

I TOLD you I made a lot of Rainbows this month! This layout was for a challenge in a group that I’m in. The challenge was to do a layout that features song lyrics on it. Once I chose the photo of Emma, who looks like she’s deep in thought, or dreaming, I started to ponder what she might be thinking about. Ever since she was THREE this girl has always dreamed about being able to fly. I then came up with the idea of her being able to fly over the rainbow, ala Wizard of Oz, which was her school musical production last year. It all just seemed to come together and I was done the layout in about 45 minutes. She loves it, I love it, what’s not to like!

I’ve used the Patterns Brights DSP for the Rainbow Strips, the Bird Punch for the Bluebird and the red Glimmer Paper for the title and heart.

Summer Holidays Guest Bloggers!

It’s summer holidays (in case you hadn’t already noticed) and often if I’m at my desk stamping then so is one, or both of my munchkins. One night a couple weeks ago we all crowded around my desk and made some magic. I wanted to share their projects because they are definitely improving with age! This one was done my Graham, who as you know just turned SEVEN last weekend. He came up with this all on his own and had never used the crimper before. He used the Colour Coach for his colour ideas and I didn’t help him a bit!

Emma wanted to make a wall-hanging for her room in the form of an 8×8 scrapbook page, and she did this one all on her own too. She is 9.5 yrs and is very good at colour coordination!
